Intel Trusted Execution Technology
Intel Trusted Execution Technology increases the security of PCs. It includes a range of hardware extensions for Intel processors and chipsets that provide additional security functions for the digital office platform, such as secure booting of system programs and the operating system and running applications in a protected area. This allows for an environment where applications run in their own space, isolated from all other software on the system.
Intel Directed I/O Virtualization Technology (VTd)
Intel DirectedI/O Virtualization Technology (VTd) continues the existing support of virtualization solutions for the IA32 (VTx) and systems with Itanium processors (VTi) and adds new support for I/O device virtualization. The Intel VTd can help users improve the security and reliability of systems and the performance of I/O devices in virtualized environments.

Intel Turbo Boost Technology
Intel Turbo Boost Technology dynamically increases a processor's frequency as needed by taking advantage of headroom in temperature and performance to provide more speed when needed and more power efficiency when it's not.
Max Turbo Clock Speed
The maximum turbo frequency is the maximum singlecore frequency at which the processor can operate with Intel Turbo Boost Technology and, if equipped, Intel Thermal Velocity Boost. Frequency is measured in gigahertz (GHz), or billions of cycles per second.
Execute disable bit
The Execute Disable Bit is a hardwarebased security feature that reduces the risk of virus infection and can prevent malicious software from running on the server or network.

Intel HyperThreading Technology enables two processing threads per physical core. Applications with many threads can do more work in parallel and complete tasks sooner.
Intel VTx with Extended Page Tables (EPT)
Intel VTx with Extended Page Tables (EPT), also known as Second Level Address Translation (SLAT), accelerates memoryintensive virtualization applications. Using Extended Page Tables on Intel Virtualization Technology platforms reduces overall storage and power costs and increases battery life through hardware optimization of page table management.
Intel Speed Shift Technology
Intel Speed Shift Technology uses hardwarecontrolled Pstates to deliver significantly faster response times with transient, shortduration, singlethreaded workloads (like web browsing). It also allows the processor to choose the best operating frequency and voltage for optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX)
Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX) enable applications to set up hardwareenforced trusted execution protection for their sensitive routines and data. Intel SGX provides developers with a way to partition code and data in CPUbacked Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs).
Intel Speed Select Technology Core Power
Allows flexible adjustments for applications where a higher base clock frequency is advantageous for a subset of the processor cores. The maximum turbo clock frequency specified for all cores remains constant for all cores; however, some cores can be assigned a higher than the specified base clock frequency, while the other cores run at a lower base clock frequency.
Intel Speed Select Technology Turbo Frequency
